Cedar Grove Packaging
Cedar Grove is the Northwest’s largest composting company. If you live somewhere around Seattle, chances are your yard waste and now food waste ends up at their gigantic Everett composting facility. And if you are a gardener, you’ve seen their bags of compost at almost every nursery in the area.
Packaging is Cedar Grove’s new initiative. Being experts on the subject of composting, they realized their unique position to be a leader in the production and promotion of compostable packaging. Partnering with Kenco—a large distributer of food service products—Cedar Grove started Cedar Grove Packaging to bring compostable packaging to Northwest homes and businesses.
Their tagline and main messaging—“Brown is the New Green”—refers to the color of dirt and the popularity of “green” living. We designed and developed an online catalogue for their new line of compostable products. Cedar Grove Packaging now boasts a variety of customers from restaurants, to farmers markets, to the Mariners and Safeco Field.
